The Suomi.fi application provides citizens with convenient access to messages, decisions, and other important notifications issued by authorities directly on their mobile phones. By eliminating the need to wait for traditional mail and organize physical documents, users can conveniently access all official correspondence in one secure digital platform. Facilitating seamless communication with governmental entities, the Suomi.fi app also enables users to submit supplementary information in relation to their applications. Encryption of messages exchanged between the device and servers ensures reliable and secure communication when utilizing the app. This service is managed by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
Upon initial use, users are required to undergo strong authentication using banking IDs, a mobile certificate, or an ID card. Subsequently, access only requires inputting the designated PIN code. The app allows for a maximum of five active devices per user, with device management options available within the app settings. It is important to note that the app is designed for single-user utilization per device at a time.
